Impervious Gel Backed Carpets incorporate stain resistant pile fibres along with a backing that is substantially impervious to water. Gel backed carpets have been specifically designed to prevent water from passing through the carpet and causing mildew and rotting of the carpet fibres. The gel backing has an impervious backing also prevents water seeping through and affecting the existing subfloor, thereby making it ideal for use in nursing homes, schools, and care homes and other areas where there is a need to hygienically clean the floor finishes.
